New Dance: Dance Series at Zucker Hall - Season 2
March – June 2023
Following the success registered by the first dance series, we held an additional series at Zucker Hall. The second series, under the artistic direction of Renana Raz, brought to the center of Zucker's stage the physiological aesthetics of the mature body, intimacy and the gap between how love is presented versus how it is experienced by individuals, a celebration of the living body and its vitality and also a bit of Spanish flavor.
The series hosted choreographers and thought-provoking, lucid and original works, through which a connection was created with new audiences who were invited to watch dance, think and be moved by movement and body in an immediate way.
Body and movement – two things so significant in the lives of human beings, through which we experience the world and our place within it. The art of dance can and should be an open and inviting door to human experience, personal and universal. Within the framework of the series, before each performance a conversation took place with the creator about the craft of choreography and together a map was drawn through which the work could be read and rediscovered.
Series performances: Galit Liss – 'Blues' Hillel Kogan – 'THISISPAIN' Roni Hadash – 'Chapters of Hedva' Yossi Berg and Oded Graf – WHEN LOVE WALKED IN
