Winter Festival 1

February 1-3, 2018

In winter 2018, Tel Aviv Culture Hall celebrated 60 years since its founding. As part of the celebrations, a winter festival was held for the first time, featuring the finest artists in moving performances.

During the 60 years of Tel Aviv Culture Hall's existence, defining moments in the cultural history of our time have been recorded.

The first Winter Festival, destined to become a tradition, is a festival that hosts Israeli creators from diverse cultures representing the Israeli mosaic, new performances alongside moving and one-time reunion shows. The festival took place in all the venue's spaces for three days.

The festival opened on Thursday with Yehuda Poliker's performance, 30 years of "Ashes and Dust" – the masterpiece album, a one-time performance in Levi Hall that will combine songs from the album with classics and hits from all periods.

In Zucker Hall, the band "The Backyard" performed in a special show for the festival. The next day (Friday afternoon) Rita performed in Levi Hall with her new show "Transparent Miracles," and for the festival, her daughter Meshi was hosted for the first time as part of the performance. In Zucker Hall, that same evening, a moving and historic reunion performance took place for the ensemble "Slightly Different," with Shlomo Gronich, Shem Tov Levi, and Shlomo Yidov.

On Saturday morning, the show "Beatles for the Whole Family" by the band MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR took place in Zucker Hall, and in the evening the band "Natasha's Friends" performed in an acoustic show, performing their greatest hits that became treasured assets from the albums "Natasha's Friends," "Changes in Screaming Habits," and "Radio Blah Blah," in new acoustic arrangements especially for the performance.

In the venue's arcades and designed terraces, musical installations were hosted, diverse content activities, wine and beer bars in a winter atmosphere.

The goal is to continue being the home of Israeli artists – veteran artists alongside young ones, and to hold in the heart of Tel Aviv a weekend of musical celebration in a unique atmosphere. Additionally, performances open to the general public took place in the venue's plaza, funded by Tel Aviv Municipality and produced by the performances department, so that the celebration took place both outside and inside the venue
